Establish rapport, trust, and strong relationships with customers through in-person meetings, representing Gerdau professionally and understanding their business needs. This role focuses on how Gerdau’s products and services can help meet those needs. The position involves managing an existing portfolio of customers, with supervised management interactions for strategic or high-priority accounts. It also includes identifying new customer opportunities within the territory through networking, face-to-face visits, trade shows, and referrals from existing customers. While market analysis is required to support territory growth, it should not be the primary focus of the role. Time will be dedicated to prospecting new customers. Suggestions and feedback from these interactions will be reviewed for training purposes. |

Establish the forecast for 2-3 months out based on customers’ needs for tons (use both volume and price) |

Decisions and analysis related to pricing are made in consideration of customer size, strategic importance, and order volume, with flexibility applied to commercial terms to support mutually beneficial outcomes |

Work closely with Inside Sales, Customer Service, Fulfillment, and Marketing teams to ensure a smooth order flow—from encouraging timely order placement to supporting seamless acceptance and delivery. This collaboration helps maintain a well-managed order book and reinforces a customer-first approach across all touchpoints |
Scope:
This position will be responsible for sales and volume within a specific territory and for a specific product line(s). This position will have established sales goals/quotas (volume, forecast accuracy, price) to attain within his/her territory.
Qualifications and Educational requirement(s):
Two – five years of sales experience and a four year degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred experience in the following industries (not required): 1. Steel, 2. Metals Manufacturing, 3. Commodities pertaining to the steel industry, 4. Metals Distribution/Service Centers, 5. General Manufacturing (industrial, car).
Preferred degree in the following areas (not required): 1. Business with Sales and Marketing emphasis, 2. Engineering or Material sciences

- Forecast Accuracy
- Hitting volume/tons and prices goals (revenue)
- Developing strong relationships with customers while balancing Gerdau’s needs
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong rapport with a diverse range of customers, ensuring consistent communication and responsiveness to their needs.
- Order Book Management: Proactively manage the order book to ensure accuracy, timely fulfillment, and alignment with customer expectations.
- Account Growth: Expand the existing portfolio by identifying and developing new customer opportunities through networking, referrals, and market engagement.
- Strategic Account Support: Collaborate with leadership on high-priority accounts, contributing to relationship development and commercial strategy.
- Commercial Strategy Execution: Apply flexible pricing and commercial approaches based on customer value, strategic alignment, and order volume.
- New Account Activation: Successfully onboard new customers, ensuring a smooth transition and early engagement with Gerdau’s offerings.
- New Product Development Contribution: Provide customer insights and feedback to support the development or enhancement of products and services.
- Market Analysis: Conduct and interpret market data to support territory growth and inform strategic decisions.
- Customer Satisfaction: Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence through timely issue resolution, proactive communication, and value-added support.
- Territory Development: Balance efforts between servicing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities, with a focus on long-term growth.
