Job Overview:

Maintenance Planner will provide coordination, direction, and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs.

This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities on equipment. The Maintenance Planner will develop job plans for all planned maintenance, predictive and preventive technologies, in conjunction with technicians, reliability engineers, mill operations, maintenance personnel and suppliers. This position will maximize the equipment reliability using a systematic approach to plan and schedule maintenance work. 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage work order backlog for area of responsibility
  • Facilitate Down Day and Outage planning process and meetings
  • Prepare, plan, and provide work packages for maintenance activities during Down Day and Outages
  • Develop maintenance plans and schedules
  • Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance and predictive work orders
  • Interface between maintenance and engineering on capital expenditures and assist in the development of equipment specifications

What You Have:

  • An Engineering Degree or Advanced Technical Training Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of heavy machinery or other related maintenance engineering activities.
  • Experience in asset reliability technology in systems.
