Job Title: MAINTENANCE PLANNER – ROLLING MILLS

ABOUT THE ROLE

Maintenance Planner will provide coordination, direction, and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs. This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities on equipment. The Maintenance Planner will develop job plans for all planned maintenance, predictive and preventive technologies, in conjunction with technicians, reliability engineers, mill operations, maintenance personnel and suppliers. This position will maximize the equipment reliability using a systematic approach to plan and schedule maintenance work. 

DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop maintenance job plans for mill equipment, covering mechanical, electrical, and automation work scopes
  • Define and document detailed job requirements, including scope of work, labor hours,  tools, materials, permits, safety controls, and estimated task durations
  • Build, optimize, and maintain weekly, short-range, and shutdown maintenance schedules in close coordination with Operations and Maintenance Supervisors
  • Prioritize work orders based on safety risk, production criticality, asset reliability, regulatory/compliance requirements, and operational constraints

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER

  • An Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • A combination of formal education and relevant maintenance experience, or equivalent, will be considered.
  • 3 years experience in a similar role.  (This is not needed, I would take a University/College graduate)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences

 

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment

SALARY:

  • Expected Wage Range $75,000-90,000*/year.
    • *This represents the expected hiring range and is inclusive of total compensation. This may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered maybe higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
