Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position’s job responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, controls, PLC, electrical drives, low/medium/high voltage systems.
  • Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work to be done.
  • Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage on computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), work orders, logbooks, and checklists.
  • Perform rounds and checks machinery condition using checklists or digital tools to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as cranes, tow motor operation including rigging.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills.
  • Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician - 442A or Construction Electrician - 309A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario is required.
  • Hourly Rate: $44.45/hr. (with 2% rate improvement in 2025 & 2026)
  • Overtime: weekly overtime opportunities.
  • Shift Premiums: an average of $575/year in shift premiums.
  • Cost of Living: Annual cost of living increases based on Consumer Price Index (CPI).
  • Vacation Bonus: 50% bonus when vacation is taken outside of prime vacation periods.
