What Gerdau Offers You

• 2023 Rate:  $38.78/hour (includes $1.00/hour additive once you have completed Industrial Maintenance Technician Training (IMT) provided by Gerdau during the onboarding process)

• Signing Bonus: 1x lump sum transitional bonus

• Group Leader:  $1/hour group leader additive available

• Annual cost of living improvement:  Based on Conusmer Price Index (CPI)

• Overtime:  Open Overtime sign up process

• Compensation:  Including Overtime, the average gross income for Industrial Millwrights in 2022 was $115,000

• Vision: $400/every 24 months - per covered person plus eye exam

• Pension/RSP plan: up to 5% contribution from Company to Defined contribution pension plan

What You Will Do

• Inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust mechanical equipment in the plant

• Receive instructions, prints, and work orders, covering repairs, installation, and inspection work

• Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production

• Assemble or align gears, bearings & shafts, involving press, sliding & running fits, aligns pumps, motors, turbines & gear reducers

• Operate power driven mobile equipment and ordinary crane hooking

Education/Experience

• Certificate of Qualification Industrial Mechanic/Millwright - 433A as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades
