What the Position Entails:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for administering HR policies and programs at our Whitby Mill location. The primary objective of this function is to develop and maintain effective employee relations.

In summary, this role is responsible for the coordination of programs such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, employee benefits administration, training, and company-sponsored employee initiatives

Position Roles and Responsibilities.

  • Oversee and coordinate employee engagement programs.
  • Oversee recruitment strategies and interview processes.
  • Organize new hire onboarding and training.
  • Support weekly payroll process.
  • Process employee changes into our HRIS system.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding personnel changes, payroll, benefits and pension and other HR inquiries.
  • Assist with administration of the employee benefit and pension programs.
  • Provide advice and interpretation of collective bargaining agreement provisions. 
  • Perform other duties as required. 

What You Have to Offer:

  • Post-secondary Education, with a concentration in Human Resources preferred.
  • CHRP designation is an asset.
  • At least two (2) years of HR experience.
  • Experience working in manufacturing and/or a unionized environment preferred.
  • SAP, SuccessFactors, and UKG (Kronos) experience an asset.
  • Strong organization, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel between locations if required.
