Earnings potential of $85000 - $106000 / year which includes base rate of $30.22/hr, weekly production bonus of 5-15% on top of the pay, and estimated annual overtime of 520 to 1040 hours. Benefits start on your first day.

Your Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting and repairing experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of machines, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic knowledge of electrical and electronic controls.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Intermediate drive knowledge, electrical controls, NFPA 70E, and high voltage power systems, electrical and electronic wiring specifications, properties of various materials, and the principles of operation and application of equipment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical schematics, motor theory, and common electrical maintenance hand tools.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
  • This role requires the ability to work Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. 

 

Your Work: 

  • Under general supervision, work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, head sketches, and project schedules to perform a variety of duties, ranging from moderately complex to difficult work involving electrical controls, motors, and power circuits.
  • Use a variety of sophisticated hand tools and electrical measuring and testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, Ohm meters to effectively test, adjust, dismantle, repair, and reassemble or install equipment involving motors, motor controls, electronic circuits and controls, circuit breakers, transformers, induction heaters, overhead cranes, and other electrical equipment and systems within the plant.
  • Understand and apply all aspects of the critical tasks and the use of PRA’S before staring any work or repair.
  • Working knowledge troubleshooting and repairing Ajax induction heating units.
  • Install all types of conduits, making necessary bends, threading, and reassembling where necessary.
  • Periodically inspect electrical equipment for electrical trouble or preventative maintenance.
  • Disassemble motors; clean, repair, replace or adjust brushed and holders; repair or adjust electrical brakes, sleeve, or ball bearings.
  • Disassemble, rebuild, and install air compressors, water pumps and cooling towers as necessary.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance and repair operations to keep plant property, equipment, machines, forklifts and tools in good operating condition.
  • Work in many verified and diverse capacities required in general plant maintenance, such as mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting, burning, welding, lubricating, adjusting, set-ups of equipment etc.
  • Maintain necessary records and perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed.
  • Detect and report defective material, improper operation, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations and practices.
  • Any additional duties or assignments, as required or directed.

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • On occasion, travel to attend maintenance-training programs or to provide assistance at other locations and to participate in cross-training activities.
  • Repair portable power tools and perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed.
  • Detect and report defective material, improper operation, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.  Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.  Follow prescribed safety regulations and practices.
