Gerdau’s North American business divisions manufacture long and special steel products for the agriculture, energy, industrial, automotive, and manufacturing markets. We stimulate the economy through our network of recycling operations and mills, operating ten mills in the U.S. and three in Canada. Our mills utilize efficient and clean production practices, including the use of electric arc furnace (EAF) technology. This makes our steel one of the greenest choices available.

Position Overview

An Intern with Gerdau must have an eagerness to grow personally and professionally, being a part of a global company with more than 120 years of entrepreneurship and achievements in the steel industry. This program is for individuals with high learning agility and willingness to adapt and develop continuously, who aim at consistently outperforming in a variety of settings and circumstances. During the program you will interact with team members from around the world. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and work on ambitious projects that will further your development.

The Organizational Development Intern will be given opportunity to learn and experience firsthand all aspects of organizational development for a global company. You will work collaboratively with the entire team to help develop our employees, implement our culture, and improve employee experience.

Job Functions

•    Assist with the creation and deployment of a variety of eLearning modules utilizing our tools Success Factors, and Easy Generator
•    Assist with the revamp of our Internship Program in North America

•    Create a thriving Learning Administrator Community for North America using regular group meetups
•    Manage training calendar
•    Manage training event preparation and details (Attendees, Location, Trainer, Materials)

•    Co-Manage the Training and Development Inbox

•    Assist with the roll out of the mobile application for Learning and other Success Factor Modules

 

 

 

 

Requirements


•    Have completed at least two years of a college degree from a recognized accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Communications, or other related degrees
•    Record of high academic achievement (Minimum GPA 2.5; preferred GPA 3.0 or higher)
