Management Associate Program (MA): Gerdau proudly offers a Leadership Development Program referenced as a Management Associate (MA), a flagship position known to empower people to recognize opportunity for improvement, and drive important projects forward to promote an increase in production, safety, quality, and collaboration. We look to have real, feasible goals accomplished, and results achieved. The intensive 18-month development path utilizes on-the-job learning, classroom training, coaching and ongoing mentorship by senior management to turn MAP graduates into our future managerial and technical leaders. The MA Program also includes a Mentoring Program, a unique feature designed to help you build a successful career. Your Mentor will be a Gerdau professional with experience and impact in the organization, who will facilitate your integration with Gerdau, help you understand Gerdau’s values and business culture and streamline your training by providing you technical knowledge and business vision.



What you will do:


  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering
  • 2021/2022 College graduate - recently completed or be in the process of completing degree before program starts
  • Record of high academic achievement (Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher)
  • Preference for a degree related internship experience
  • A maximum of 3 years full time work experience
  • Well-rounded applicants with leadership roles in student organizations or extra-curricular activities
  • A high learning agility and willingness to adapt and develop continuously
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment
  • Willing to relocate to various locations within the United States during the length of the program



  • Analyze and improve existing solutions, processes, policies, and procedures where opportunities for improvement may exist.
  • Develop and implement improvements.
  • Develop projects to increase productivity, reduce costs and increase quality through the implementation of new services and improvements to existing ones.
  • Seek continual improvement of the service, benchmarking with the market.
  • Support SSG on new business opportunities and the decision support analysis required for preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP), in conjunction with Procurement.
  • Support SSG on performing analyses of business goals, objectives and needs and of the general business environment. Plans and designs business processes and makes recommendations in order to improve and support business activities.
