Scope:

The IT Governance Analyst is responsible for assisting the IT Office with portfolio management; financial management, compliance to corporate guidelines, guidance on processes and methodologies, tracking performance measures and supplier/Vendor management.

 

The analyst will be tasked with analyzing the vendors, contracts and financial performance and status of all IT Contract. They will also assist in aspects related to budgeting (OPEX and CAPEX), billing, invoicing, and forecasting.  The IT Governance Analyst works closely with internal staff, procurement and vendors to ensure contacts/budgets are accurate and understood, projects are billed accurately, and forecasting is done timely manner. The Analyst will work closely with IT Leadership and IT team members to ensure fidelity of budgets, provide documentation and reporting needs in addition to ensuring cost compliance on budgets and contracts. 

The analyst will also assist in tracking and reporting department goals (KPIs/OKRs), facilitate meetings/discussions with IT leadership (i.e. portfolio review, restrospectives, department strategies, leadership meetings), provide guidance on policies, procedures and methodologies for the department, and prepare presentations and reports for the above mentioned tasks and meetings on a monthly, annual and ad hoc basis.  The analyst is also encouraged to provide recommendation on strategies and/or process improvements.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Analyzing current and past financial data, contracts and performance
  • Working with IT vendors and supporting business partners by managing contracts and billing, providing financial reporting and coordinating purchasing activities.
  • Managing strategic partnerships with suppliers and vendors to build goodwill and maintain vendor performance
  • Evaluating current operational and contract expenditures
  • Managing IT Vendors to maximize operational and performance value and implementing remediation actions between internal customers and IT vendors.
  • Identifying opportunities for vendor rationalization and cost optimization
  • Preparing reports and projections based on current and past analysis. Reports vendor service performance, Budget adherence, KPIs, etc.
  • Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
  • Identifying trends in financial performance within IT and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Guiding the department in governance policies and processes (corporate guidelines, ZBB, CAPEX, IT procurement, project management and Agile methodologies, etc.)
  • Coordinating with the IT team to prepare and facilitate meetings and forums to review financial information and forecasts, strategy discussions, restrospectives, planning session, etc. on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Providing status updates and reporting metrics (KPIs/OKRs) to project leadership and/or IT Managers and be accountable for on-time and on-budget delivery

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and past financial data, contracts and performances.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience vendor management / purchasing or analyzing financial experience
  • SAP Experience Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Power-BI experience Preferred
  • PMO, Agile and Lean methodology knowledge a plus
  • Great presentation skills with demonstrated ability to brief senior managers
  • Ability to influence and persuade others
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Ability to multi-task and meet constant deadlines; ability to successfully respond to changing priorities and shortened deadlines
  • Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and the ability to interact with all level of stakeholders, support personnel, and clients
  • Passionate with an aptitude to quickly learn new and emerging technologies

  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent
