We are looking for a developer on digital technology to join our rapidly growing team. As a developer on digital technology, you will play a vital role in developing a wide range of our products. You will be involved in the product development process from ideation to launch, working closely with Product Owners, UI/UX designers and other developers to deliver the best digital experience for our users. You will actively contribute to the success of the team by leading technical discussion and generating new ideas that will iteratively enhance the quality of the product.


The successful candidate will collaborate with the industrial teams at the foundries and other locations to develop the Industry 4.0 solutions to automate safety, inventory management, production, equipment maintenance and the predictive analytic functions of the entire steel production process, using machine learning and leading edge technologies. User facing applications will be deployed to mobile and desktop platforms.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of first functional prototypes.
  • Prototype testing.
  • Front-/back-end engineering of stable and high-performance functioning products.
  • Lead for the team and other discussions of technical solutions and product ideas in design reviews, pair programming, and code review.
  • Researching, designing, implementing and managing software tools.
  • Testing and evaluating new applications.
  • Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
  • Writing and implementing efficient and clean code.
  • Determining operational practicality.
  • Developing quality assurance procedures.
  • Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems.
  • Provide training and documentation for users.
  • Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts.


Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience React or other Javascript framework (Vue, Angular) including Mobile App (React Native) and Web App (React with webpack/next.js)
  • 3 years of experience with API's
  • 5 years of experience with Databases
  • OR at least 10 years of experience with web based application development, database development and SQL
  • Package management (node and npm or brew)
  • Java RESTful API development, or RESTful API development tool
  • PostgreSQL, or similar SQL database engine like MSSQL Server or MySQL
  • Git and GitLab/Bitbucket/GitHub
  • CI/CD pipelines: TeamCity, Bamboo, GoCD, Jenkins, etc.
  • Microservices


Desired Qualifications:

  • MuleSoft API development
  • Python
  • Containerization with microservice architectures: Docker/Kubernetes
  • Message Queues
  • Integrations with/working knowledge of
  • SAP API’s and BAPI’s
  • OPC Servers and PLC’s
