The M & A Senior Partner will help identify and secure new sources of growth across a variety of sub-sectors within technology and traditional businesses. The position will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the overall GNext corporate strategy in North America. The successful candidate will work mainly out of Silicon Valley in a mix of remote and co-work space, reporting to the North America Corporate Development Director.

The position requires some travel, up to 40%.

 

What You'll Do
 

  • Develop and articulate specific investment decisions/recommendations regarding new or follow-on investments.
  • Researches and conducts financial analyses, strategic evaluations, alternative strategies and scenario modeling for new or existing investments.
  • Evaluate, negotiate and close M&A activities.
  • Prepare and present to senior management written and verbal reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert with regard to M&A and corporate development strategies.

Should-Haves
 

  • At least 5-7 years of relevant project or corporate finance, M&A or corporate Development experience working within the U.S. power, oil and gas, metals and mining or infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
  • Deal negotiations with sophisticated counterparties
  • Serving as a primary deal lead on project or corporate-level financing
  • Corporate capital structures and transactions
  • Working in and understanding capital markets, including debt and equity transactions
  • Project finance debt, equity, and/or tax equity deal execution required

 

Nice-to-Haves
 

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Agile methodologies knowledge
  • Experience managing multiple squads
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

 

Education
 

  • Bachelor's Degree required preferably in Finance, Accounting or Engineering.
  • MBA is a plus
