STOREROOM FACILITATOR

Reporting to the Reliability Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to control and manage inventory to meet goals for price, deliver and service. Other duties include:
- Edit requisitions and confer with requistioners and department personnel regarding requirements, specifications, quantity and quality of goods and delivery
- Run and execute replenishment orders and manage the distribution, receipt, location and issue of those items
- Coordinate with maintenance, mill personnel and suppliers to develop alternate sources, ensuring continuity of supply and timely delivery of stores inventory stock
- Coordinate with Melt Shop personnel the purchase of refractory materials and consumables
- Resolve vendor grievances and claims against suppliers
- Evaluate suppliers through methods, such as supplier visitations, various objective performance measurements, including on-time delivery, service and price
- Provide direction, support and oversee the receipt of goods and communication of receiving activities as required
- Responsible for training, evaluation, discipline, motivation and safety of stores personnel
- Assume responsibility for other purchasing / stores related tasks as required and directed by departmental and Gerdau needs
Our successful candidate will have:
- A four year degree plus three - five years of applicable experience OR equivalent combination of training and experience in purchasing and stored products including supervising others
- Possesses above average use of computer skills and software knowledge in SAP, Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous work experience in an industrial environment will be considered an asset
