  • Safe operation of machining equipment
  • Machine repairs to existing equipment as well as fabricating new items
  • Experience working to close tolerances on engine lathes, vertical mills, radial drills, vertical shapers etc required
  • Read, interpret and execute shop drawings and bill of materials
  • Layout, advise, and plan sequence of operations based on shop drawings
  • Fit and assemble components and equipment
  • Monitor accuracy, verify exactness and build to specifications in accordance with shop drawings
  • Checking work for quality and accuracy
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained
  • Work in a safe and effective manner
  • Work closely with other trades



  • Manual lathe and milling machine experience
  • Machinist Red Seal Certificate
