Job Description

 

Responsible for emptying the crop buckets, keeping the strappers full, and assisting in blade changes. They are also responsible for safety, proper equipment operation, housekeeping, and other functions as needed.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Have a clear understanding of all hazards and safety regulations associated with your daily activities.
  • Ensure all buckets are emptied as needed to allow continued operations.
  • Ensure strappers are maintained as needed to allow continued operations.
  • Ensure 5S area is the standard at all times during the shift.
  • Perform down time cleaning when the finishing end is not operational.
  • Assist maintenance in the finishing end when the finishing end is not operational if they need assistance.
  • Assist in blade changes on the cold saws when required.
  • Assist in straightener roll changes as required.
  • Assist in hot saw blade changes as required, typically during PZC change-over.
  • Perform crane inspections at the beginning of each shift for the south finishing crane and both saw jib cranes.
  • Perform up time cleaning as indicated on the cleaning schedule.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by Routine Facilitator or their designee.

 

 

The Individual

 

  • High school diploma or GED, required. 
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Experience using hand tools and measurement tools.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs maximum.
  • Needs to have a open mind and the wiliness to learn a different job base.
  • Capable of working a rotating shift.
