Your Purpose:
Working conjointly with the Central Maintenance Routine Facilitator you will drive continuous improvement and establish a safety focused, quality driven, results oriented work environment. You will concentrate on all Maintenance aspects related to improving safety, environment, quality, production and cost. You will be accountable for achieving measurable goals and providing the necessary support for stakeholders to achieve their goals.
Your Qualifications
· Four-year college degree in Engineering, combined with up to 2 years of maintenance and reliability experience or 5+ years of combined maintenance, reliability and supervisory experience in lieu of a degree.
· Prior experience with process documentation and data analysis using various tools and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC approach, Poka Yoke, Kanban, What-If Analysis, Pareto Analysis.
· Experience with reading CAD and performing accurate analysis and designing effective solutions to a variety of process/ equipment issues.
· Strong working knowledge of steel manufacturing methods and equipment.
· Experience working with, integrating and teaching predictive and preventative maintenance techniques and principles.
· Proficiency with SAP, QMOS software is preferred.
· People management skills with the ability to train and guide associates through improvement projects.
· Possess solid presentation abilities combined with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Knowledge about Operational Metrics and KPIs used in the steel Industry is a plus.
Your Work:
· Interact with all stakeholders to address all process related challenges and provide solutions to the same based on industry best practices.
· Apply, teach, and encourage use of, Gerdau principles.
· Identify and solve chronic/repetitive problems and failures as well as reduce process variation.
· Oversee, contribute to, and support daily improvement management activities, which include providing timely and accurate cost estimates on proposed improvement efforts.
· Coach and develop the team with failure analysis and lead improvement initiatives.
· Get stakeholders buy in for project scopes & high-level timeliness.
· Create detailed annual action plan & milestones.
· Perform data collation needed for analysis.
· Collaborate with and encourage employees on processes, standard audits, 5S initiatives, equipment assessments, preventive maintenance and safety processes and procedures, and other process routine management activities to identify opportunities for improvement and solve problems.
· Conduct trend analysis, compile, and analyze symptoms and failures and propose solutions for the failures.
· Facilitate training sessions for maintenance technicians related to procedures, policies, and best practices.
· Other duties as assigned.
