Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

What You'll Do
As the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for electrical maintenance and reliability across plant systems. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance leadership to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and create a safe, high-performing work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop electrical maintenance personnel
- Improve equipment reliability through predictive and preventive maintenance programs
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and mechanical equipment issues
- Drive safety, environmental, quality, and operational excellence initiatives
- Partner with operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant performance
- Coach and develop employees through training, mentoring, and hands-on leadership
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, and root cause failure analysis
- Monitor performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve business objectives
- Manage routine maintenance activities, work execution, and reliability improvements
- Participate in outage planning, major repairs, and capital improvement projects
What We're Looking For
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field OR HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of job-related work experience in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, steel, metals, mining, pulp and paper, chemical processing, power generation, or related heavy industry
- Experience leading electrical maintenance or reliability teams
- Knowledge of predictive, preventive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, controls, and power distribution equipment
- Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills
- Ability to build relationships across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams
Preferred
- Experience with overhead cranes, utilities, mobile equipment, substations, switchyards, HVAC systems, or industrial environmental systems
- Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms
- Experience in steel manufacturing or other heavy industrial environments
Leadership Opportunity
This is primarily a day-shift leadership position with off-hours support for critical maintenance activities, outages, and operational emergencies.
