The Human Resources Admin will be able to provide administrative assistance to the facility, primarily for the Human Resources team.  As part of the HR team, incumbent is expected to be a contributor with ideas and a forward thinking mindset, helping the team achieve continuous improvement in our process and in our value to the organization.

 

Primary Duties:

Provide administrative support to the facility as part of the Human Resources team.

Coordinate with Shared Services regarding HR functions.

Facilitate FMLA and disability processes, coordinating with Gerdau's 3rd party administrator.

Act as a liaison to assist employees with third party vendors.

Maintain HRIS database and create reports.

Process new hires during pre-employment as well as schedule and conduct new hire orientation.

Complete Form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation using E-Verify.

Assists with processing of terminations.

Coordinate uniform program with vendor.

Coordinate Social Responsibility program.

Maintain personnel records.

Coordinate customer visits.

Other duties as needed.

 

This position requires strong executive administrative skills such as: typing, written and verbal communications, listening, retention, and organizational skill. Excellent interpersonal skills needed, as well as the ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment and maintain strict confidentiality. Experience in Human Resources is preferred. The incumbent must be proficient in various computer applications; (i.e. MS Office, MS Outlook, database maintenance). Experience with Kronos and SAP are preferred.  The position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
