BASIC FUNCTION (Primary Purpose):

To support the order fulfillment team through consistent improvement of processes, systems, tools and routines optimizing internal efficiency and promoting a faster information flow between the customer and Gerdau.Generating collaboration enhancing Gerdau’s ability to manage volatility with customer requirements and improve accuracy of information and data exchanged between Gerdau and our customers leading to improved customer satisfaction and delivery performance while creating the best experience for the customer and within Gerdau.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identification of problem areas and/or improvement opportunities within the Order Fulfillment team related to processes, systems, tools and routines.  Development of action plans, monitoring their implementation and effectiveness and providing support to ensure the highest probability for successful results.
  • Assist PC Managers with new orders and changes, reheats and other activities.  Provide support in the PC Managers absence and share after hour assistance.
  • Monitor and manage WIP and FG inventory levels and support actions plans in order to improve OTIFG and working capital while fulfilling customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and Balance Outside Processor capacity verses overall GSN demand
  • Manage priority list items ensuring we are properly prioritizing, processing and communicating correct information to customers in a timely manner.
  • Participate in mill placement decisions along with routine capacity / demand alignment
  • Routinely assist with customer complaint resolution, order fulfillment prioritization and special projects.   

 Scope (brief description):

Provide recommendations to the order fulfillment team on opportunities to improve the order fulfilment process and enhance the customer experience.  Provide back up support to PC Managers.


Supervisory Responsibilities & Reporting Structure:

  • No direct supervision responsibility
  • Reports to: Director or Order Fulfillment


Qualifications and Educational requirement(s):

Four year degree in business, supply chain or engineering required with 2+ years of operations, supply chain, sales or marketing experience strongly preferred



Skills: Production planning / Supply chain management, Process Improvement / Processes management / Developing standards, Customer Service, Decision Making, , Strong Microsoft Excel capability, Teaching and Coaching / Developing team members, Analytical and Problem solving
