The General Turn Facilitator is responsible for the direction, facilitation, and coordination of the Finishing Operations of the Huntington Facility.

Under the guidance of the Downstream Director of Operations and Finishing Superintendent, this position is responsible for maintaining the production flow and providing leadership guidance on establishing a productive, high performing and safety conscious working environment. The major role of this job is to focus on all aspects related to safety, environmental, production, cost, quality, and people management through the continuous application of GBS principles for area of responsibility.  The GTF provides leadership to multiple areas across the Finishing Department, with support to Maintenance as needed.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

1.    Responsible for attaining predetermined goals in production, quality, and cost.

 

2.    Responsible for establishing standard practices for control of production methods, quality, personnel, equipment, and associated procedures.

 

3.    Responsible for properly interpreting and administering rules for safety, discipline, and work procedures within corporate guidelines.

 

4.    Responsible for housekeeping and safety in the Huntington Facility.

 

5.    Responsible for selecting, training, evaluating, disciplining and motivating employees to achieve department objectives.

 

6.    Cooperates and coordinates with other Facilitators, departments, and services to minimize downtime and breakdowns to maximize production of quality product.

 

 

7.    Develops and maintains production reports to monitor plant performance.

 

8.    Make recommendations for cost savings, production, and quality improvements.

 

9.    Responsible for employee timecards in Kronos.

 

10.  Responsible for administering company policies and programs.

 

Qualifications for this position include a college degree in Engineering, Material Science, or Business Administration from an accredited university, combined with 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to standardization and production quality methods.  In lieu of the degree, an additional 3-5 years on the job experience as described is acceptable.
