Safety: Maintain Housekeeping in area. Observe and follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe work environment. Attend safety meetings. Report/repair any unsafe condition, behavior or
equipment.
Practices: Operates all equipment in Turning Bay. Has proven abilities to problem solve Turning Bay related issues.
Assures that customer requirements and specifications are met.
Quality: Performs all operation and use of gauges and measurement tools related to the Turning Bay. Performs
testing equipment verification.
Maintenance: Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and corrects/repairs equipment malfunctions and
breakdowns. Assists Maintenance and Engineering where needed.
The general job requirements of a Turning Bay Operator are:

· Accurately enter data into
HTIS in a timely fashion
(hourly)
· Complete tallies correctly
· Run the demag
· Know how to unload trucks
including where material
goes
· Load trucks timely and
accurately
· Run transfer car
· Know how to operate and
inspect forklift and crane
safely
· Perform gage verification
· Identify non-conforming
material
· Know customer specific
requirements
· Perform ZF 100% inspection
· Set up and run Rattunde
· Accurately perform all
quality checks associated
with running the Rattunde
and record

Accurately perform all
quality checks associated
with the 100% ZF inspection
· Set up and run Galdabini
bump straightener
· Know the quality policy
· Know the safety policy
· Know where to locate all
JWI’s and SOP’s
· Follow the nonconforming
material procedure using
MQ1
· Perform routine preventive
maintenance
· Taking responsibility of all
outside persons (vendors,
drivers, contractors and
visitors)
· Set up and run turner
· Set up and run Polisher
· Set up and run Hex bundler
· Set up and run NDT
equipment
· Works with minimal
assistance on all equipment
in which previously trained
· Achieve Certified Level 1 or
greater NDT operator status
· Achieve ability to set up all
turning bay equipment with
no assistance, this includes,
but is not limited to writing
new programs at the
Rattunde.

Education
A high school diploma or GED is required. Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment (or
equivalent experience) is preferred.
