<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Job Summary:

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Performs a variety of repetitive electrical maintenance duties necessary to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment needed for the production of finished products, which requires an advanced understanding of control circuits, DC and AC drives, overhead cranes, electronics, and test equipment.  Operates various electrical monitors and meters, hand tools, oscilloscope, and thermo energy camera.  Receives general supervision with general instructions for assigned tasks from the Plant Superintendent and/or the Master Electrician.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Overall knowledge and understanding of the following; Working up to 480V, Process Controls, Medium Voltage, Linesman, Instrumentation, Control Circuits, DC / AC drives, Overhead Cranes, Electronics, Test equipment. New Installs, Troubleshoot, & Repair of Electrical Equipment
  2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work involves routine tasks requiring the safe operation of electrical monitors and meters, hand tools, oscilloscope, and thermo energy camera to safely and effectively install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, including instrumentation and electronic boards for Ajax converters.
  3. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Receives direction in the form of wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and/or instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection of work to be done from Plant Superintendent and/or Master Electrician.
  4. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Checks and calibrates plant instrumentation.
  5. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Inspects electrical equipment for defects.
  6. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
  7. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
  8. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Dismantles, inspects, repairs, adjusts, replaces, and reassembles faulty parts on electrical equipment.
  9. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Completes reports and forms as directed.
  10. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Attends and participates in monthly safety meetings.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Additional Responsibilities:

 

  1. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Performs other duties, as assigned by the Plant Superintendent and/or the Master Electrician.
  2. <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Enhances skills by attending job related training.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Electrical License / Associate degree
  • Previous experience in industrial/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
