You Have:

  • A four-year college degree in Engineering or Material Science
  • 5 to 8 years of industrial experience with a specialty in at least one engineering field.
  • Must be knowledgeable in construction techniques used in designing and constructing projects and to prepare sketches and blueprints.
  • Must be able to apply engineering fundamentals to the continuous improvement efforts of CAPEX and maximize the efficiency of the overall department operation. 
  • Knowledge of at least two National and State building and construction code requirements.
  • Ability to train people and serve as a coach to employees.
  • Possess solid presentation abilities combined with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas, give feedback, resolve conflicts, and point out areas where improvement is needed, as well as the ability to develop a positive relationship with employees to develop credibility.
  • Must be results-oriented and can motivate others.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to work on various projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well in a team environment on process, capital, and equipment related projects for their assigned projects.
  • Must be proficient in scheduling and/or project management software, and AutoCAD.

 

Your Purpose:

You will provide technical coordination and support in the operating and capital expense management processes by initiating and running projects using the capital expense (CAPEX) project process, equipment monitoring, stabilization, and improvements. You will serve in an advisory or consulting capacity and coach to all levels of employees, contractors and plan management. 

 

Your Work:

  • Collect, correlate, and report operational information/data for their assigned projects.
  • Prepare data sheets, diagrams, flow charts, PAIs, PS, and technical studies for correct and efficient installation and operation of the equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of blueprints for additions, installations, and maintenance/repair purposes.  Also prepare drawings and sketches for modifications of machinery and equipment, and layouts on various systems
  • Provide preliminary engineering services for department projects and cost justification.
  • Assist in preparing programs for the computer control systems.
  • Review, develop, and improve operation procedures and train personnel in operations improvements.
  • Assist in solving production anomalies in the operations process.
  • Assist with and participate in improvement activities
  • Facilitate training sessions for all employees on the Engineering policies, practices and processes.
  • Assist with the development of the Annual Action Plan.
