Billet Yard Quality Specialist 

 

Starting pay $23.05 - $26.50 per hour plus bonus, with an estimated average earning of $68000 - $75000 / year. Generous benefits start on your first day.

You Have: 

  • The desire to learn new roles and grow with the company.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of industrial or manufacturing experience.
  • The ability to work a 12-hour rotating Dupont schedule, days, nights, and two weekends a month.
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • Basic math skills, problem-solving, ability to multi-task.

 

Your Purpose:
You will facilitate and manage the flow and identification of material from the melt shop to the rolling mill finishing department and complete a range of duties.

 

Your Work:

  • Involves simple to moderately complex duties, somewhat repetitive, requiring considerable care in accuracy, alertness, and safety.
  • Performs a variety of data entry, counting, calculating and posting of billets cast and placed in billet yard
  • Requires identifying quality issues with billets and communicating to appropriate personnel
  • Requires physically inspecting billets
  • Prepares billets for shipment and writes applicable heat number on each billet
  • Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision.  Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.  Follow all safety regulations and practices.
