What Gerdau Offers You
- 2023 Rate: $39 / hour (includes $1.00/hour additive once you have completed Industrial Maintenance Technician Training (IMT) provided by Gerdau during the onboarding process)
- Signing Bonus: 1x lump sum transitional bonus
- Group Leader: $1/hour group leader additive available

- Compensation: Including Overtime, the average gross income for Industrial Electricians in 2022 was $115,000

What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, controls, PLC, electrical drives, high-voltage systems
- Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Perform rounds to check machinery to identify abnormalities
- Interpret schematics and blueprints
- Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials, including cranes, man-lifts, and forklifts
- Demonstrate basic computer skills
- Work a rotating continental shift as required
Education/Experience
- Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician - 442A or Construction Electrician - 309A) as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades
