You Have:

  • BS in Engineering  combined with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred. Will consider a two-year degree/advanced technical training with at least 3 years of experience at a master level discipline.
  • Master-level knowledge of heavy manufacturing or other related engineer related maintenance.
  • Advanced working knowledge of maintenance concepts and techniques with expertise in asset reliability technology and systems as well as experience using CMMS programs (SAP ERP preferred) to develop and maintain reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relate to operations, maintenance, reliability, engineers, outside contractors, and vendors. 
  • Ability to perform and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimum supervision, and have a broad knowledge of computer software applications.
  • Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support asset reliability process (ARP) assessment and improvements.
  • Participate in all major failure incident investigations within the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain optimal inventory plans and assist with inventory management for equipment and critical spare parts using Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies.
  • Must be willing to travel at least twice a year.

 

Your Purpose:

You will serve as an advisor to support and coordinate the Asset Reliability Maintenance Management for scheduled and projected maintenance to improve equipment reliability, safety, product quality at optimum efficiency and costs. You will have direct responsibility for building detailed job plans, ordering parts and services for planned work, preparing work packages, managing backlog for planned work, and ensuring proper data management.

 

Your Work:

  • Plan proactive maintenance including preventative, predictive, corrective maintenance, and project work.
  • Schedule proactive maintenance work using a formal, systematic, and analytical approach which includes run time, major plant outages, and down day work.
  • Manage non-emergency work and planned work backlog.
  • Develop procedures to improve safety, lower costs, and optimize resources thru the use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Participate in the development of Annual Action Plans.
  • Train maintenance and operation personnel.
  • Conduct routine safety and maintenance activities including audits, maintenance task evaluations, employee contacts, and visibility tours as assigned.
  • Ensure safety rules and requirements are being followed in all work areas.
  • Maintain compliance with visual management standards and stay informed about current technology to recommend changes for continual improvement of asset reliability and manufacturing processes.
  • Interface between maintenance and engineering on all new capital expenditures, and assist in the development of equipment specifications to ensure that predictive and preventative maintenance tools can be implemented effectively.
  • Participate in all major failure incident investigations within area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain optimal inventory plans and assist with inventory management for equipment and critical spare parts using Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies.
  • Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance and predictive work orders within specifications, and compliance.
