This is your purpose:


The Administrative Services Clerk is responsible for performing various administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, auditing, sorting, duplicating, and recording duties pertaining primarily to accounting and purchasing.


What you will do:


  • Perform routine data entry of Delegated and Exception Purchase Orders. 
  • Monitor, maintain, and purchase office supplies as necessary or directed.
  • Maintain copy machines and printers located in the main office.  Coordinate service calls with vendor for maintenance.
  • Properly identify, log, and forward purchase order exceptions for error resolution.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal personnel in a timely and professional manner to resolve issues
  • Assure compliance with all company and legal/regulatory requirements (SOX, OFAC, internal/external audit, and IRS)
  • Build collaborative relationships with other employees across the organization
  • Maintain and distribute employee rewards for Gerdau’s recognition program (Service Awards, Gift cards, T-shirts, Jackets, etc.)
  • File daily paperwork (packing lists)
  • Assist employees with purchase of PPE (Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.)
  • Maintain Capex Files for Mill Accountant to use when closing PAI’s
  • Maintain Excel file on all Leased Equipment
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



What you have:


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years’ experience providing administrative support in an office or industrial setting.
  • Payroll and Accounts Payable experience preferred.
  • Software Experience: MS Office products, especially Excel
  • SAP preferred
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • High volume processing experience
  • Strong listening and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; dependable and flexible
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, as well with customers and external parties
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
